Tip #1: Washing your hair with a normal shampoo or a clarifying shampoo first will help remove any buildup before using the Jet Black shampoo. This will help the color stick onto your hair better.

Tip #2: Pour the shampoo into your hand and emulsify it, then apply it onto your hair or you can pour the shampoo directly onto your hair and lather. It lathers easily when the hair is damp or wet.

Tip #3: Wearing gloves is recommended. We also recommend avoid wearing light colored clothes for 24 hours in case of staining.

Tip #4: This shampoo is to be used as a quick refresh once every third wash or once a week. It pairs nicely with the Jet Black Color Pigment Refresher mask.

Tip #5: If you're going to apply Jet Black onto blonde hair, make sure to pre-fill the hair with a warm color such as copper or orange to achieve a richer color and prevent your hair from looking muddy or green.

Want to use the mask on extensions? Extensions tend to be porous and grab more pigment than usual so we recommend conditioning the extensions with our S.O.S. Deep Conditioner before applying the color mask so your extensions are less porous and can grab pigment more evenly. 

Want a vibrant or more intense color effect? You can let the shampoo sit in the hair for up to 5 minutes. The hair color darkens with each wash, but you can also pair it with the Jet Black Color Pigment Refresher mask for an intense Jet Black wash day.
